WS PM-7135

-DESCRIPTION
WS PM-7135 is a
water-based pulp and paper antifoam for combating tenacious surface foam. It has
excellent deaeration capabilities and also provides excellent performance in
effluent systems and outfalls.
WS PM-7135 contains mineral spirits, poly-glycols and
vinyl polymers in aqueous medium.
BENEFITS
• Economical water-based defoamer
• FDA authorized components
• alkylphenolethoxylate (APE)-free
• Readily disperses in process stream
• Minimizes surface foam and entrained air
• Effective paper mill antifoam
• Effective over a wide pH range
TYPICAL PROPERTIES
(not to be considered specifications)
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: 25%
FREEZE POINT : 32 °F/ 0 °C
DENSITY (20 0 C): 0.76 – 0.80 g/cm 3
APPEARANCE: Clear to slightly hazy colourless liquid
COMPOSITION: Solution of Silicone-Free Anti Foaming Agents.
PRODUCT APPLICATION
WS PM-7135 is
dispersible from room temperature to boil. It is effective at very low
concentrations. Ten to fifty ppm is a good starting point. The concentration can
be adjusted to give the most economical concentration.
WS PM-7135 should be fed neat or diluted through a
positive displacement dosing pump.
If separation occurs during storage, the product can be
easily mixed using a drum mixer.
Proper treatment levels for WS PM-7135 depend on many
factors, such as the severity of the problem, the type of furnish, machine
speed, and other conditions particular to a given application. For most
applications, the feed rate ranges between 0.25 and 2.0 lbs/ton (0.125 and 1.0
kg/tonne) of paper produced. Measurement of entrained air levels may be required
to determine the most economical feed rate.
Specific feedpoints and feed rates will be established with
the assistance of our Representative.
STABILITY
WS PM-7135 is stable
in acid, alkaline, or neutral systems. Some of the recommended uses are in
textiles, paper coatings, size mixes, printing ink manufacturing, wastewater
ponds, and sewage systems.
WS PM-7135 is a very stable product, yet it releases its
silicone very rapidly when added to the foaming media. As with most defoamers,
best results are obtained by adding it to the system before foaming starts.
FDA STATUS
WS
PM-7135 is manufactured in compliance with the regulations of the Food and
Drug Administration as cited in 21 CFR, Section 176.200 (defoaming agents used
in coatings) and Section 176.210 (defoaming agents used in the manufacture of
paper and paperboard).
EPA STATUS
The ingredients in WS PM-7135 are listed in EPA
Regulations, 40 CFR 180.1001(d), exempted from the requirements of a tolerance
on growing crops.
STORAGE
WS PM-7135 should
remain shelf stable for up to 12 months in its original, sealed container. To
avoid freezing, store above 40oF. Product may separate upon freezing.
