FOR FELTS, WIRE & EQUIPMENT

KEM-031 is an acidic, liquid product used for continuous or batch cleaning of felt or wire. KEM-031 can also be used for cleaning cylinder face wires and screens and it is particularly effective against asphalt, tar and pitch which are commonly found in secondary stock mills.

• Provides a wide range of detergency due to the combined activity of acids, solvents and detergents.
• Effective against acid soluble and solvent soluble oils.
• The need for separate products is eliminated.
• Excellent for removing soils found in secondary stock mills.

Continuous Felt or Wire Cleaning: Apply KEM-031 through a low volume shower or conditioning equipment and inject 100-400 ppm through a proportioning pump.

Shutdown or Batch Felt or Wire Cleaning: The concentration varies, depending on the amount of soil, 1-10% solution may be applied. Apply by brush or spray. Elevated temperatures (e.g. 130-140ºF may be used, unless otherwise specified by the felt manufacturer. Follow with a warm rinse.

Cylinder Molds, Screens: A 5-10% solution of KEM-031 is recommended at a temperature of 140-160ºF. After necessary exposure time rinse thoroughly with warm water.

KEM-031 is an acidic product. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. In case of accidental contact flush affected area with plenty of water. For further information refer to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

KEM-031 is available in 20-liter pails and 210-liter drums.
